We are modern funeral directors, committed to supporting the wellbeing of every bereaved individual
As part of this commitment we have written a funeral guide to break down the funeral arrangement process into simple steps, and to provide accessible information about funeral choices
Sarah wrote her first book “Funerals Your Way – a Person-Centred Approach to Planning a Funeral” in September 2018 because she wanted to give people the information they need to help them to feel in control at a time that can be very challenging and bewildering.
The book arose because a lady that Sarah supported in 2017 came back and told her that she had been sharing what she had learnt during the open and transparent arranging process with her friends, family and colleagues. She explained that they had been creating more personal and meaningful funerals and felt more in control with the small amount of new knowledge that she had shared with them. This highlighted the value that a short, accessible consumer guide / self-help book might have.
This short book gives you the knowledge, suggestions and step-by-step guidance you need to create funerals which truly reflect the person who has died.
Funerals Your Way is available on Amazon, Audible and as an eBook. It will help you if you want to:
Understand your options to be better able to articulate your own funeral wishes
Be better able to have a conversation with someone close to you about what they might like for their funeral
Feel confident having conversations with people you support professionally (as a health and social care professional or allied professional such as solicitor or will-writer)
Understand your choices when you need to arrange a funeral at the time of need.
